Rhoda and Jacob contacted us from Los Angeles just over six months ago with plans of getting married in Vancouver. We chatted over Skype and quickly became friends. It was easy to tell that Rhoda and Jacob were the easy going, fun loving couple that they are.

What we quickly realized when we were taking photographs in VanDusen Garden on their wedding day was that Rhoda and Jacob, like all our other couples, were just two people completely and utterly in love with each other. We know that seems blatantly obvious, but weddings can sometimes be such a whirlwind of emotions, events, and people that it’s easy to loose sight of what everyone is there for. Rhoda and Jacob’s small, intimate wedding of just 20 guests made us realize that at every wedding this year we’ve been completely drawn to the power of what brought these two people together in the first place.
